Conloca
What it is
Conloca is a free, open-source content management system made specifically for Astro websites. Its browser visual editor, powered by Puck, lets editors assemble and revise pages with drag-and-drop components. Content is stored as VXJSON files in the project’s Git repository, so it does not require a database or external service. Every edit creates a Git commit with author attribution, giving teams a record they can review, compare, and revert. Conloca handles separate content for configured locales and supports MDX, which combines Markdown with components. Live preview and a media library are included. Simultaneous edits use ETag conflict detection and show a resolution dialog. Files are written to a temporary location before an atomic rename to reduce crash-related partial writes. The system runs on Bun and can be deployed in Docker, on a VPS with systemd, or behind Cloudflare Tunnel. Cloudflare Access authentication with JWT validation is available out of the box. It is self-hosted and currently limited to Astro.
