Using an AI music generator does not by itself give you copyright in the finished track or permission to use every voice, lyric, sample, or reference you put into it. For a Galaxy phone user making a video, social post, game, or release, check two separate things before publishing: what rights the service grants under the plan active when you generated the track, and whether your own inputs and the final use respect other people’s rights and platform rules.
What Rights Does An AI-Generated Track Have?
In its January 29, 2025 report, the U.S. Copyright Office said material generated entirely by AI is not copyrightable, and prompts alone do not make the person who wrote them the author. Human-authored contributions in a mixed work may be protected. If you register a work containing more than a minimal amount of AI-generated material, the Office says to disclose that material and describe the human author’s contribution. Read the Copyright Office report and guidance.

This is distinct from a service’s license. A service may grant permission to use or commercially publish a track under its terms, but that does not establish that the track is copyrightable or guarantee that no other rights are involved. Keep your own lyrics, edits, arrangement decisions, and other human contributions identifiable if those matter to your project.
Check The Track’s License Before You Publish
Do not treat “royalty-free,” “commercial use,” “yours,” and “copyright-protected” as interchangeable. A commercial-use license may permit specified uses while the service retains ownership or while copyright protection remains uncertain. Check the current plan terms, the terms applying when the track was generated, and any restrictions for your intended destination.

Its directory information says monthly plans are personal and non-commercial, while commercial rights apply only to generations during an annual-plan term. | Check the plan, generation date, Terms Section 6, License Agreement, and pricing terms. |
| OpenMusic AI | OpenMusic says its generated tracks are cleared for commercial use and that each song comes with a license. | Check the plan terms governing downloads and licensing, and save the track’s license. |
| AI Game Music Generator | The service says tracks can be downloaded with a commercial license and that songs are owned by aigamemusic. | Read the license for the intended game or other project; do not assume you own the track. |
These are service statements, not a substitute for reading the current license. Keep a copy of the terms or license certificate associated with the actual track, along with the generation date and plan. If you are using a Galaxy phone to make or publish a video, save those records with the project so you can check them before uploading.
Use Voices, Lyrics, And References Carefully
Consent and platform terms matter whenever a track imitates an identifiable person or uses material you did not create. Spotify’s September 25, 2025 announcement says vocal impersonation is allowed only when the impersonated artist has authorized it. Musicful also encourages creators to avoid directly copying copyrighted works or protected content from specific artists. Spotify policy announcement coverage · Musicful’s guidance.

For a safer starting prompt, describe musical attributes rather than naming an artist or asking for a recognizable voice. For example: “Create an original instrumental bed for a short Galaxy phone travel video: restrained percussion, warm synth texture, steady energy, and a clean ending.” This is a prompt example, not a guarantee that the result is legally clear. If you supply lyrics, audio, or another reference, use material you have permission to use and check the generator’s rules for uploaded content. The supplied information does not establish each service’s detailed rules for voice cloning, covers, or samples, so check that service’s current terms before using those features.
Check The Rules Of The Place You Publish
A license from a generator does not settle a platform’s own disclosure or monetization rules. YouTube requires creators to disclose realistic altered or synthetic content that could be mistaken for a real person’s performance using its altered-or-synthetic content label. Its inauthentic-content policy addresses mass-produced, repetitive, or template-based uploads rather than AI use by itself. YouTube policy clarification coverage · Policy timeline.

- Write down where the music will appear: a personal clip, monetized video, advertisement, game, or commercial release.
- Check the generator’s current terms for the plan that applied when you created the track. Confirm the permitted use, attribution, ownership language, and any exclusions.
- Review your prompt and uploads. Remove material you cannot use, and do not imitate a real person’s voice without authorization.
- Save the track, the applicable license or certificate, and a note of your human-authored contributions with the project files.
- Check the publishing platform’s current disclosure and monetization rules, then label or credit the work as required.
If the intended use is not clearly covered by the service terms, or depends on a recognizable voice, cover, sample, or reference, pause and get qualified advice for that specific use. This explainer summarizes the cited sources and service statements; it does not determine whether a particular track or use is lawful.
