To remaster an old song with AI, first create a clean, high-resolution stereo file, then compare a few AI masters at matched loudness before choosing the least damaging version. On a Samsung Galaxy, browser tools let you upload the file, preview alternatives and download a WAV; TrackGleam also lists Android access and on-device free processing.
Prepare The Old Song Before AI Mastering
- Keep the original safe. Make a copy of the best source you own. Do not overwrite the archival transfer.
- Choose the cleanest source. If you have a tape, CD or high-resolution transfer, use that instead of a previously compressed MP3. Keep the file in stereo unless the original is genuinely mono.
- Repair obvious problems first. In an audio editor, remove long gaps, clicks and clipped sections manually before uploading. AI mastering changes level, tone and dynamics; it is not established here as a restoration or tape-repair service.

Remaster A Stereo Old Song Step By Step
- Upload the prepared WAV. Keep the original sample rate and bit depth when the service allows it, and avoid sending an MP3 made from another MP3.
- Start with a neutral pass. Choose the least aggressive style, intensity or stage available. For Waves, begin with a style and use the 30-second preview; for Mixea, generate the 15 options; for Fire Lit, compare selectable stages.
- Match loudness before judging tone. Turn down the louder version until the vocal, snare and bass feel equally loud. A louder master can seem clearer while actually losing the old recording’s dynamics.
- Check the song’s identity. Listen to the opening, the loudest chorus and a quiet section. Stop if cymbals turn harsh, tape hiss pumps, bass becomes loose, or the vocal loses its original character.
- Use the reference controls sparingly. With Waves, Auralith Forge, RoEx Mastering or TrackGleam, compare the reference for balance rather than copying extreme brightness or bass. Auralith Forge provides gain-matched A/B; use it to judge change at equal level.

AudioMuse provides targets for Apple, Spotify, Tidal and other platforms. These checks do not prove that an old recording is free of distortion, so listen again after downloading.
- Download and label the result. Prefer WAV for an archive master. Keep the service name, date, settings and source filename in the new filename so you can compare versions later.
When You Have Stems Instead Of One Mix
Stems can help when the old stereo transfer has an overpowering vocal, bass or drum balance, but separation can also create artifacts. Upload only files you have permission to process.

Pick The Final Master On Your Galaxy
- Keep the version that preserves the original vocal, groove and dynamics at matched loudness.
- Choose WAV when you need an archive or another mastering pass; use MP3 only for listening copies when the service offers both.
- Play the chosen file through Galaxy speakers, wired or Bluetooth headphones and a car system. If the same harshness or missing bass appears everywhere, return to a gentler AI setting.
