To make a Suno song longer, open the song in Suno, use Extend at a musical boundary, write what should happen next, and generate the continuation. Repeat in sections, then use Suno’s editing tools to replace weak transitions or rearrange the result. On a Galaxy phone, this workflow works in Suno’s Android app; the web version is useful when you need a wider editing view.
Choose The Right Starting Point
Lengthening works best when the existing song has a clear ending or instrumental break. Before extending, listen for the last complete musical idea: the end of a chorus, a finished verse, or a drum break. Start the extension there rather than in the middle of a vocal phrase.

- Instrumental break: extend from the break to create a longer build, solo, or dance section.
- Clipped phrase: use section replacement or another edit first, then extend after the repaired phrase.
Save the original song before generating alternatives. Each continuation can change the arrangement, vocals, or production, so keeping the first version gives you a reliable fallback.
Extend A Song In Suno
- Open Suno and select the song you want to lengthen.
- Choose the song’s extension or continuation control and place the start point after a complete section.
- In the prompt, name the section you want next, its energy, and how it should connect to the previous part.
- If lyrics are requested, provide only the new lines or a clear instruction for an instrumental passage. Keep the wording consistent with the song’s existing theme and point of view.
- Generate more than one continuation and compare the joins. Keep the version whose first beat, vocal entrance, and chord movement feel most natural.
- Repeat the process for another section if the song still needs time. Build in musical blocks instead of repeatedly asking for “a longer song.”
- Use Suno’s editing options to replace a transition that sounds abrupt, then export the finished version or stems when your plan supports those downloads.
Prompts That Produce A Natural Longer Arrangement
A useful extension prompt describes the next job in the arrangement. It does not need to repeat the entire original prompt. Try a structure such as:

For a dance-oriented track, specify movement rather than an arbitrary duration:

“Insert a 16-bar instrumental drop after the chorus. Keep the kick and bass groove, remove the lead vocal for the first eight bars, then bring in a filtered vocal pickup before the next chorus.”
These prompts describe musical events Suno can attempt. Exact bar counts, duration, vocal identity, key, and continuity can vary between generations, so inspect every join and regenerate when the transition changes the song’s character.

Fix A Bad Join With Suno Editing
Replace The Transition
If the extension begins with a mismatched lyric or an awkward vocal entrance, select that section for replacement. Describe the same musical role again, such as “four-bar drum fill into the chorus,” and preserve the surrounding style words. Replacing one section is faster than rebuilding the whole song.
Build An Intro Or Outro
When the middle already works, extend the beginning or ending separately. An instrumental intro gives the listener time to settle into the groove. An outro can repeat the hook, reduce the arrangement, or end with a deliberate final hit. State the ending behavior directly: “fade with backing vocals,” “repeat the chorus hook twice,” or “finish with a clean stop.”

Use Stems For A More Controlled Edit
Suno supports stem export on its platform. Exporting stems lets you inspect vocals, drums, bass, and other parts separately in a compatible editor, but the exact stem availability depends on your Suno plan and current product controls. Check Suno’s plan page before relying on a particular export.

AetherWave is the clearest external option when you want remixing and Suno integration in one browser workspace. Fadr and Moises are separation tools: they can expose parts of an existing recording, but the supplied information does not establish that either one automatically writes a new Suno continuation. Check each vendor’s current workflow before subscribing.
Galaxy Phone Workflow
- Use the Suno Android app to audition the original and mark the exact section where the extension should begin.
- Write the continuation prompt in Samsung Notes first so you can revise lyrics without losing them if the generation screen changes.
- Generate two or three alternatives, then use headphones to check the vocal handoff, bass entry, and first downbeat.
- Rename promising versions with the section name, such as “drop take 2” or “final chorus take 1,” before creating another branch.
- Download only after checking the plan’s download and rights limits. If you move the file into another app, keep the original Suno version in your library.
Credits, Downloads, And Rights
Suno’s Free Plan lists 50 credits per day and an 8-minute audio-upload limit. The Pro Plan is listed at $8 per month, with 2,500 credits per month and 20 song downloads per month. The Free Plan does not include commercial rights or stem separation. Confirm the current plan terms before publishing or monetizing an extended song.
If your extension uses a recognizable voice, uploaded recording, lyrics, or samples, make sure you have the necessary consent and follow the applicable platform terms. Suno’s supplied information does not establish ownership for every input or output situation, so read the current vendor terms for your specific release.
