To generate lo-fi music with AI, start with an instrumental beat, guide it toward a relaxed, mellow sound, then edit the rhythm and arrangement until it feels right. On a Samsung Galaxy phone, Soundverse AI Beat Maker is listed as mobile-friendly and available on Android; Beat Shaper offers more specific controls for editing drums, mood, energy, and syncopation in a web browser. Neither listing confirms a dedicated lo-fi preset, so check each service for its current genre options and whether its interface works well on your Galaxy model.
What Makes a Lo-Fi Beat
Lo-fi is a musical direction, not a setting confirmed for these tools. Describe the sound you want: an unhurried beat, soft drums, mellow chords, a simple bass part, and a calm, understated mood. For a first draft, try this direction: “Instrumental lo-fi hip-hop for quiet late-night studying: relaxed, understated drums, mellow electric piano chords, a warm simple bass line, sparse arrangement, no vocals.” Treat it as a musical brief, not a guarantee that a service will interpret every detail or offer those exact instruments.

- Reduce the energy. Adjust the energy and mood controls, then revisit the arrangement. Remove or simplify parts that make the draft feel too busy; the tool lists editable parts, but exact note and arrangement controls can depend on the workspace.
- Refine the harmony and bass. Edit the available synth or bassline parts toward a mellow, uncluttered backing. The listing confirms those parts and piano-roll editing, but does not specify particular electric-piano sounds, chord presets, or lo-fi effects.
