Decide what you need before generating. People use “copyright-free” to mean different things: no copyright protection, permission to use a track without paying a separate royalty, or permission to use it in a particular project. Those meanings are not interchangeable. The U.S. Copyright Office says works generated entirely by AI are not copyrightable; prompts by themselves do not make the prompter the author. A human contribution to a mixed work may be protectable, but that does not turn every AI-generated element into human-authored material.
Keep a record of your own work: the words you write, any melody or performance you contribute, and the edits you make. Do not use another person’s voice, lyrics, recording, or musical performance without consent and any permissions required for your use. Tunee lists voice cloning, but that capability is not permission to clone a person. Check the platform’s current rules and get the relevant consent before using a real person’s voice or reference audio.
