To lower the risk of copyright claims or platform penalties, make AI music from your own lyrics and a specific, original musical brief; avoid asking for a named artist’s voice or copying recognizable lyrics, melodies, recordings, or samples; then check the generator’s license and the destination platform’s rules before publishing. On a Samsung Galaxy, keep the prompt, source files, license details, and final export together so you can review what went into a track before you upload it.
What “Avoid Copyright Strikes” Means For AI Music
A generated track can create several different problems: another person may claim it uses protected material, a platform may flag a voice impersonation or altered content, or repetitive uploads may run into monetization rules. These are separate risks, so a generator’s commercial-use permission is not a guarantee against a claim or a platform decision.

Use This Galaxy Workflow Before You Generate
- Choose a use and destination first. Decide whether the track is for a personal video, a monetized channel, or a commercial project. Then check the generator’s current terms for that use and the destination platform’s rules. A paid plan or a download option alone does not establish that a track is cleared for every use.
- Write an original brief. Describe musical qualities such as tempo feel, mood, instrumentation, structure, and vocal type in your own words. Avoid artist names, requests to sound like a particular singer, and references to a specific released song.
- Use lyrics you wrote or have permission to use. Do not paste lyrics from a released song. If you want a vocal track, use original lyrics or request an instrumental.
- Do not upload audio unless you have the necessary rights and consent. This applies to reference tracks, samples, and voice recordings. Do not ask a generator to imitate a real person’s voice without that person’s authorization, and check the service’s terms for uploaded material and voice features.
- Keep a creation record. Save your prompt, lyric draft, generation date, source audio permissions, chosen plan, and the terms page you relied on. On Galaxy, use a folder in Files or another storage location you control; keep the record with the exported audio.
- Review before posting. Listen for recognizable melodies, lyrics, samples, or vocal resemblance that you did not intend. If you cannot establish that a questionable element is authorized, revise the track or leave it out. Do not assume that a tool’s generation or similarity controls, if offered, guarantee clearance.
- Make the upload distinct and label where required. Avoid publishing many near-identical tracks or template-based videos. If a video includes realistic altered or synthetic content that could be mistaken for a real person’s performance, YouTube requires creators to use its altered-or-synthetic content label.

Prompt For Originality, Not Imitation
A prompt cannot by itself establish that the resulting music is free of protected material. It can help you steer away from direct imitation by describing musical traits without naming an artist or track. For example: “Create an instrumental with a relaxed mid-tempo pulse, warm electric piano, brushed percussion, rounded bass, and a short contrasting bridge. Use an original melody and do not imitate any existing recording.”
For a vocal song, use lyrics you wrote and describe the vocal in general terms, such as “soft, close-miked vocal with a restrained delivery.” Do not specify a real singer or ask for a voice clone unless you have that person’s authorization and the service’s terms permit the use. Product features and license terms can change; check the vendor’s site for the specific generation and plan.

Check Platform Rules Before Uploading
Spotify says impersonation of an artist’s voice is allowed only when authorized by that artist. It also announced measures against mass-uploaded spam and duplicate tracks, and support for AI disclosures in credits.
