Zeplin Flows
San Francisco, California, USA
What it is
Zeplin Flows helps teams map user journeys and show how screens relate to actions, decisions, and branches. Diagrams use shapes, labels, and connectors that reposition when screens are added or removed. Teams can organize screens and flows into Flow Groups and Boards, then share them using quick links. These maps can help product managers, QA, and Support identify gaps and add use cases. Flows are included across plans, but Flow Boards are available only with Advanced and Enterprise. The Free plan costs nothing and includes one project, 100 screens, unlimited members, and no Flow Boards. Advanced costs $12 a month when billed annually and includes Flow Boards and unlimited reviewers. Zeplin offers Mac and Windows desktop apps and a web app that works on Windows, macOS, and Linux; the web app does not support uploading designs. Integrations include Figma, Sketch, Jira, Storybook, VS Code, Azure DevOps, Slack, Microsoft Teams, its API, and webhooks.
For and against
For
- Connectors adjust when screens change
- Groups and Boards organize flows
- Quick links enable sharing
- Flows are included across plans
Against
- Free plan has no Flow Boards
- Free plan is limited to one project
- Web app does not support design uploads
The verdict
Zeplin Flows provides a way to map screen journeys and share them with teams. The Free plan includes Flows but not Flow Boards, and uploading designs requires more than the web app.
Who it suits
Flows may suit teams that need to map journeys for product, QA, or Support work. Teams needing Flow Boards should consider Advanced or Enterprise plans.
