What it is
Yandex Translate converts words, expressions, text in photos and images, websites, and mobile apps. Its web version supports more than 90 languages and can translate documents and websites. For image text, it can identify the language and provide a translated image for download, though blurry text, cursive, and handwriting are not recognized.
Access is available through web and mobile browsers, Android and iOS apps, and an API. In the mobile app, typed text works offline. English and Russian dictionaries are included by default; other language dictionaries require downloads. Voice input and dialog mode need an internet connection. The service also offers glossary tools, a Telegram bot for chat translation, and AI features for translation-related requests such as grammar explanations and style suggestions; AI use may be limited.
