Wind2Notes
Karlsruhe, Germany
What it is
Wind2Notes uses AI to turn brass and woodwind audio into sheet music that users can edit. Audio can be uploaded, supplied as a YouTube link, or recorded in the app. Supported instruments include trumpet, flute, saxophone, clarinet, trombone, recorder, French horn, oboe, tuba, and bassoon. For recordings with multiple instruments, Wind2Notes says it can isolate individual wind parts. Users can adjust notes and rhythms in the built-in editor, and the Piano Roll view supports interactive note identification. Exports include PDF sheet music, quantized or unquantized MIDI, and MusicXML, which can be imported into notation software such as MuseScore, Sibelius, or Finale. Wind2Notes is available on web, Android, and iOS. Its repeatable free demo handles up to 20 seconds without signup. The Pro plan allows 50 full transcriptions per month, with each transcription up to 15 minutes. It costs $14.99 per month, or $6.24 per month with annual billing. Klangio recommends clean recordings with little background noise and separate instruments when possible.
