What it is
WAVS is a paid online marketplace for licensing music samples and loops, with web, macOS, and Windows access. Its catalog contains more than 100,000 samples, stems, presets, and MIDI files. Users can upload audio or MIDI references to search for similar sounds. The desktop app and Bridge support playhead and tempo sync, key transposition, and dragging material into a DAW. Bridge compatibility includes Logic Pro, Ableton Live, FL Studio, Pro Tools, Cubase, and Reaper. Downloads use credits: one-shots cost one, MIDI two, samples two to three, presets four, and stems five. Visitors can preview 15 samples daily without an account, or 25 with a free account; downloading requires an active subscription. Starter costs $8.99 a month, while Pro costs $13.99 a month and includes DAW sync. A $1 first-week offer includes 10 credits and unlimited plays, then renews monthly at the Pro price shown. Nearly half of samples are royalty-free; some others may require clearance after one million streams or a major-label release.
