UABEA

What it is

UABEA is a free, MIT-licensed reader and writer for Unity Asset Bundles and Serialized Files on Windows and Linux. Its maker positions it for modding and research rather than general asset extraction. Supported material includes textures, TextAssets, fonts, audio, and MonoBehaviours, with batch extraction and archive repacking. It also handles Unity Addressables bundles, although editing those requires clearing CRC checks with a CRC cleaning tool. The newer UABEANext version adds docking and multi-bundle opening but is described as a work in progress. The latest listed release requires .NET Runtime 6.0. Windows additionally needs the Visual C++ Redistributable; Linux requires glibc 2.29 or later, and users of musl-based distributions need to compile the software themselves. Font import and export supports TTF and OTF, while font atlases are unsupported. Switch textures can be edited when swizzled, but newly added textures are not swizzled automatically. Windows and Linux nightly builds are linked for both versions.
