Tuta Calendar
Tuta Calendar · Hannover, Germany · founded 2011
What it is
Tuta Calendar helps users organize appointments, business meetings, and repeating tasks across Android, iOS, Linux, macOS, web, and Windows. It supports shared calendars with permissions for read-only access, editing, or managing sharing. Calendar sync is one-way. Users can import calendars through settings, after which they sync automatically across devices. Tuta says calendar events, invitations, sharing, and push reminders are end-to-end encrypted; reminders are hidden from the phone operating system and can arrive offline. Users can send and receive invitations, and may encrypt invitations to external users with a shared password. The calendar is integrated with Tuta email and contacts. Tuta also lists two-factor authentication and says its clients are open source and the calendar uses zero-knowledge architecture. The Free plan costs nothing and includes one calendar, 1 GB storage, and three labels. Revolutionary costs €3 a month, billed monthly, while Legend costs €8 a month, billed monthly. Both paid plans include unlimited calendars.
