TRAX LRS
What it is
TRAX LRS is an open-source Learning Record Store for storing and managing xAPI learning data. Users can explore statements and related records, including activities, agents, people, groups, profiles, and states. Scheduled jobs can validate statements, pseudonymize data, and clean up records. Administrators can remove an actor’s xAPI data or pseudonymize statements across a store. Its free Starter Edition uses a GPL3 license and includes one admin user, one xAPI endpoint, statement exploration, and MySQL or PostgreSQL. Records can be exported through the API, and the product supports cmi5. Listed integrations include a Moodle plugin, connections to other xAPI-compliant LRSs, and secondary database connectors. TRAX LRS can run as a single web application or as microservices; custom services can listen to LRS events through Redis Streams. Self-hosting documentation covers Apache, PHP, and a configured database. The Extended Edition adds multiple stores, roles, store-level access, and configurable API client permissions, but requires an author license agreement and cannot be distributed to third parties.
