tinythoughts
What it is
tinythoughts is a sentence-a-day journal for writing short daily entries. Users can choose a time for a notification reminder and receive a different writing prompt for each day of the year. Entries can be tagged and filtered by category, and users can attach a photo or GIF. The service automatically derives a mood from entry text, with filters for positive and negative entries and trends over time. tinythoughts says entries are end-to-end encrypted so only the user can read them, and users can download their data as CSV. Its free plan includes daily text entries, daily push notifications, and five image uploads a month. Premium adds daily image uploads and an image gallery view for $3 a month, with the first 14 days free and cancellation available at any time. The service lists web, Android, and iOS availability. Push notifications are available in Chrome and Firefox only. The privacy policy says the service may collect personal and non-personal information, uses cookies, and is hosted by Firebase.
