Tetrate Service Bridge
Silicon Valley
What it is
Tetrate Service Bridge is an Istio-based service mesh and control plane for connecting, monitoring and securing microservices. It unifies configuration, operations and visibility for service-to-service traffic at application edges, cluster ingress and between workloads in Kubernetes and traditional compute clusters. A global management plane centrally manages Istio and Envoy across hybrid, multi-cluster environments. Security features include end-to-end mTLS, certificate management, identity-aware authorization, RBAC and tenant isolation. Traffic controls provide global routing, circuit breaking, locality-aware failover, canary releases, traffic shifting and blue-green deployments. Observability includes unified metrics, embedded distributed tracing, topology views, service inventory, dashboards and alerts. The platform applies zero-trust policies with fine-grained controls and auditability, and Tetrate lists support for PCI, HIPAA, GDPR and FIPS/FedRAMP requirements. The management plane may be hosted by Tetrate or deployed in customer Kubernetes infrastructure. Self-managed installation requires Kubernetes, a private HTTPS registry, databases, Redis, an identity provider and cert-manager. Pricing is on request, with no free plan.
