SystemRescue
What it is
SystemRescue is a free, bootable Linux toolkit for administering or repairing Linux and Windows desktops and servers after crashes or data problems. It can start from CD/DVD or USB without installation, or be installed on a hard disk. Partition tools such as GParted and GNU Parted create, resize, copy, move, format, and modify partitions. Testdisk recovers lost partitions and repairs boot sectors, photorec recovers lost files, and GNU ddrescue copies block devices with bad sectors in mind. The kernel supports ext4, xfs, btrfs, vfat, ntfs, Samba, and NFS. Networking includes OpenVPN, WireGuard, OpenConnect, SSH, rsync, and rclone. Users can customize the ISO and add modules or startup scripts. The current download is version 13.02 for amd64; at least 2 GB memory is recommended, or 4 GB when caching to RAM.
