Strike API
What it is
Strike API is an HTTP-based REST-style API for programmatic cash and bitcoin transactions over the Bitcoin and Lightning Networks. It supports sending, receiving, exchanging, and directing payments, along with payouts to external bank accounts. Businesses can accept funds through invoices or receive requests, with amounts credited to a Strike account as cash or bitcoin. OAuth Connect allows users to authorize third-party applications to make API calls within granted permissions and required scopes; webhooks can notify applications about supported events. Authentication uses either a non-expiring account API key or an expiring OAuth access token. The browser-based API Explorer can send requests and provides examples in cURL, Go, Python, and Node.js. A sandbox uses simulated cash balances and testnet bitcoin, and developers must contact business support to arrange setup. Business or organizational users need an account in a supported region and must complete business verification. Production request limits include 250 per minute for invoice creation and payment quotes, and 1,000 per 10 minutes for other endpoints; limits may change. Pricing is on request.
