StoryJumper
What it is
StoryJumper is a web-based service where students, parents, and teachers create and publish storybooks together. Authors can format text, design characters, upload photos, and add voice narration, background music, and sound effects. Teachers can build group books by assigning pages to students, import classes and students from Google Classroom, post assignments, and receive StoryJumper books there. Photos can be added from Dropbox, Google Drive, or another service. Online creation and sharing are free. Finished books can be ordered as paperbacks or hardcovers, or downloaded as PDF eBooks and video books. Listed prices are $2.99, paid once for a PDF eBook, $7.99, paid once for a video book, $14.99, paid once for a paperback, and $27.99, paid once for a hardcover, each covering up to 16 pages with extra-page charges. Compilation books are limited to 200 pages. In educational accounts, student books are private by default and teachers control sharing. For independent accounts used by children under 13, a parent account is required and controls sharing. Educational data transfers use encrypted or private networks, with data primarily stored in encrypted databases.
