What it is
SolidPing is an open-source uptime monitoring platform available as hosted cloud software or as a self-hosted installation. It supports 40 check types, including HTTP, TCP, DNS, databases, email servers, Docker, Kubernetes, headless-browser, and custom JavaScript checks; checks can run as often as every 10 seconds. It also lists server monitoring and SSL-expiry alerts, with monitoring from six locations. Alerts can reach chat platforms, email, webhooks, PagerDuty, push services, or Twilio SMS and voice. Rotation schedules, overrides, iCal feeds, and multi-step escalation policies are included on every plan, including Free. Public status pages can display sections, subscribers, incident updates, uptime, and response-time metrics; custom domains are metered by plan. SolidPing offers a REST API and MCP endpoint. Hosted plans exclude SMS, voice, and WhatsApp alerts, which work with self-hosting when users supply provider credentials. The self-hosted version is a Go binary using SQLite or PostgreSQL under AGPL-3.0. Hosted data and backups are stored in France on OVHcloud. The maker says it does not currently hold ISO 27001 or SOC 2 certification.
