Solid Editor
What it is
Solid Editor is a voxel graphics editor for creating game-ready voxel assets within the Solid Engine asset pipeline. Its editing scene uses Solid Engine’s path tracer for real-time lighting, so the scene is rendered while work is in progress. Users edit voxels directly in 3D, with a brightly colored ball available as a pointing device. A single Selection tool applies effects to selected voxels and previews those effects in real time. The editor is natively compatible with Solid Engine and runs on 64-bit Windows 10 or newer or 64-bit Linux, using Nvidia graphics cards. The optional Ball Pointer requires a webcam, but the editor also works without it. Windows and Linux v0.1.0 downloads are offered, with a warning that this early version may crash or glitch. The free plan costs nothing, while Solid Editor Pro user costs $10, paid once and includes prioritized support replies within 48 hours. Animation, scene layers, polygon import, and MagicaVoxel .vox support are planned.
