Session Canvas
What it is
Session Canvas is open-source, MIT-licensed software for managing conference submissions, reviews, agendas, speakers, and communications. It runs on the web and is self-hosted on the organizer’s own Supabase project. Its form builder supports reordered questions, conditional rules, required fields, deadlines, and draft submissions. Review tools include track-based reviewer routing, a passwordless evaluator view, and optional blind review. Organizers can create agendas in day, room, or list views, with warnings about time, room, and speaker conflicts. Speakers use magic links to check submission status, edit profiles, and complete tasks. Communications include templated acceptance and rejection emails, reminders, and calendar invitations that update when details change. Public publishing includes embeddable schedule and speaker widgets, a JSON schedule feed, and whole-event iCal export. Optional Airtable synchronization is off by default. The software is free.
