Serv-U FTP Server
Serv-U FTP Server · Austin, Texas, United States · founded 1999
What it is
Serv-U FTP Server provides FTP and FTPS file transfers for organizations, with access through web and mobile interfaces. Users can view, upload and download files, including large exchanges over 3 GB, and pause or resume transfers. Transfers use SSL/TLS encryption and support IPv4 and IPv6; the comparison page also lists HTTP. Administrators can create users and groups, manage permissions and bandwidth, and review transfer details in the console. They can set quotas and transfer ratios, limit concurrent sessions, block IP addresses for timed-out sessions, and use reverse DNS and anti-hammering controls. Automation can move or delete files after transfer or disable or reset credentials after a specified number of days. The FTP Server plan costs $55 a month, billed annually, and includes 250 user accounts, 100 concurrent sessions and three domains. There is no free plan, but a 14-day trial is available. SolarWinds describes this edition for small businesses and project teams with fewer users and domains on one server.
