Reeder
What it is
Reeder is an inbox for reading, watching, and listening to material from multiple sources on iPhone, iPad, and Mac. It places RSS feeds, videos, podcasts, and social posts in one timeline, then syncs your subscriptions, tagged items, and timeline position through iCloud. You can create custom timelines using keywords, media types, or feed types. A share extension saves links from outside the app when iCloud for Reeder is enabled. Subscribers can turn tags into public, automatically updated JSON feeds containing up to 50 tagged items; these feeds are hosted on reederapp.net and are publicly accessible. The free plan costs nothing, supports up to 10 feeds, and excludes Shared Feeds, Home timelines from Mastodon, Bluesky, and Micro.blog, and OPML import. Reeder subscription costs $1 a month, billed monthly, covers iPhone, iPad, and Mac, and includes Shared Feeds. The new app lacks third-party sync services. Reeder says it collects no personal or usage data, apart from Apple data when Share with Developers is enabled. Reeder Classic remains a one-time-purchase RSS reader.
