ReadKit
Eger, Hungary
What it is
ReadKit is a read-later and RSS client for iPhone, iPad, and Mac. Its built-in engine accepts RSS, Atom, and JSON feed subscriptions, and it can connect to supported news aggregators and read-later services. The core functionality is free, with no ads or data mining, but built-in RSS is limited to 20 feeds without Premium. Premium adds multiple accounts, unlimited feeds and smart folders, reader mode, folder and tag management, image caching, themes, app icons, and OPML import and export. Reader mode extracts article text from the original page without sending it to an external text-parsing service. Built-in RSS works offline but does not sync; subscriptions, articles, and read statuses can sync across Apple devices through supported aggregators or read-later services. The macOS app includes a Safari extension that can find feeds embedded in pages. Premium costs $2.99 a month or $9.99 a year. Lifetime options cost $19.99 for iOS or macOS separately, or $29.99 for the universal option.
