Qlone is a 3D scanning app for creating, editing, and exporting models of real objects. It supports scans with a printable Qlone mat and mat-free scans in AR or Photo mode; Photo mode supports 4K images. Editing tools can fill mesh holes, soften texture imperfections, simplify meshes, smooth or erase sections, and sculpt models. Export options include OBJ, STL, FBX, GLB, PLY, and X3D, with USDZ on iOS. The app can upload models directly to Sketchfab, i.materialise, Shapeways, Snapchat Lens Studio, and CGTrader. Models can also be shared as MP4 or GIF videos through iMessage, WhatsApp, and other social platforms. The maker says mat-based scans are processed on the phone, while mat-free scans use Qlone Cloud; it says it does not store or view users’ models. Qlone does not require LiDAR.
