PSI Secure Browser
Olathe, Kansas, United States
What it is
PSI Secure Browser provides a locked-down environment for online exams, supporting launch, identity authentication, proctor connection, testing, and session termination. Check-in can require a photo ID, selfie, 360-degree room scan, floor-to-ceiling scan, accessory scan, and desk scan. PSI says the browser blocks copying, pasting, printing, screen captures, instant messaging, other applications, and other websites. It offers a downloaded Secure Browser and a separate PSI Chrome Extension. Chromebooks cannot use the Secure Browser but can use the extension. Supported systems include 64-bit Windows 10 and 11, specified macOS releases, and Ubuntu 22.04, 24.04, and 26.04 LTS. Installation and administrator access are required. Proctored tests need a webcam and microphone, with the camera on throughout. The system checks prohibited background processes, and organizations can configure that check. PSI also offers live and record-and-review proctoring, LTI and API integrations, and 24/7 support. Minimum requirements include 8 GB RAM, 500 MB free disk space, and 750 kbps internet.
