What it is
Prism Video Converter changes video files between formats and can compress them. It supports batch conversion, audio extraction, and output resolution up to 4K. Before converting, users can trim, split, rotate, flip, crop, and resize clips, add text or image watermarks, or adjust color effects. The format list spans video, audio, and image outputs, including AVI, MP4, WMV, MOV, MPEG, FLV, HEVC/H.265, MP3, WAV, GIF, and JPG or PNG sequences. Converted videos can also be shared or uploaded to YouTube, Vimeo, Dropbox, Google Drive, OneDrive, Flickr, and Twitter. The product page describes conversion as an offline process. Prism is available for Windows and macOS, with system requirements listed as Windows 7 to 11 and macOS 10.5 or above. The free version is for non-commercial use and converts to AVI, ASF, and WMV without upgrading. It enables Plus features for a 14-day trial after installation, after which those features are disabled unless a Plus license is purchased. Home Edition costs $39.95 a year; Plus Edition costs $59.95 a year.
