What it is
Prism is a web-based workspace for scientific writing and collaboration built around LaTeX. Its project-aware assistant can work with a manuscript’s structure, equations, references, and surrounding context. Editing tools include proofreading, citation management, equation conversion, and automated error checking. Researchers can search for literature and incorporate it into a project, with arXiv among the example sources. Collaborators can edit, comment, and revise in real time, with no stated limit on the number of collaborators. Optional voice editing supports simple changes. Prism syncs with Zotero for citation search, but does not support Zotero group libraries. Projects can be imported by uploading a folder or ZIP archive, or by dragging files into All Projects. The Free plan costs nothing and includes unlimited projects, collaborators, compile time, and compile speed. Access requires a Free, Go, Plus, or Pro ChatGPT account; current or former Business and Enterprise workspace members are not eligible. Prism does not use the Zero Data Retention API option and retains logs after requests for product improvement.
