What it is
Praisenter is free, open-source presentation software for churches and worship services on Windows, Linux, and macOS. It displays Bible verses, song lyrics, pictures, videos, custom slides, and notifications, and can send different content to each display. The number of displays depends on the computer’s video outputs. Slide tools include backgrounds, text, dates, countdowns, pictures, and animations. Bible passages and lyrics can appear side by side in two languages or versions. Praisenter imports hundreds of media formats and can convert them during import to an optimized form. Song lyrics can be imported from OpenLyrics, ChordPro, SongSelect, and ChurchView. Workspaces keep Bibles, lyrics, videos, pictures, and other assets in separate local folders, with multiple workspaces available on one computer. It includes Bible and song bulk editing, Bible search, notification overlays, slide queuing, text scaling, and NDI output for applications such as OBS. Content and configuration remain local, without cloud uploads, synchronization, or remote backups.
