Pomoroom
What it is
Pomoroom is a social Pomodoro app for focusing and studying with other people on Android and iOS. Users can join public or private virtual study rooms, see who is online, and follow one another’s progress. The timer uses 25-minute focus sessions with customizable break intervals. The app tracks daily, weekly, and monthly study statistics, and leaderboards let friends compare study totals over those periods.
The Google Play listing says rooms can hold up to 1,000 members and describes real-time chat, saved timer profiles, virtual streak badges, and background ambience sounds. Pomoroom says it minimizes personal data collection and does not sell personal information. Its stated safeguards include encryption in transit, access controls, and monitoring. Users can delete their account in the app settings or request deletion of remaining account data. The free plan is available. Premium costs $2.99 a month, $24.99 a year, or $74.99 as a one-time purchase. The annual subscription includes a one-week free trial and renews automatically unless canceled.
