Picture Keeper
Alpharetta, Georgia, United States
What it is
Picture Keeper combines backup drives with an app for saving and organizing photos, videos, contacts, and files. To begin, connect a drive, open the app or drive application, and choose Start Backup. Later backups skip photos already saved. The site says files on the drive remain accessible without an internet connection or cloud service. Photo tools include Find a Photo, Magic Erase, Batch Scanning, Retouch, Colorize, Photo Scanner, and Snap To Drive. KeepSafe adds continuous cloud backup for photos, videos, and contacts from iPhone and Android devices. Its page says files are stored on private servers and accessible only to the user; the privacy policy describes cloud transmission and storage of content and metadata with encryption in transit and access controls. Picture Keeper Connect supports iOS 12 or later, Android 5 or later with USB OTG, Windows 7 or later, and macOS 10.11 or later. KeepSafe costs $3.99 a month after a 30-day free trial. Drives range from 32GB to 1TB.
