PHPPayroll
What it is
PHPPayroll is a PHP and MySQL payroll and HR system that automates salary calculations, attendance tracking, and leave management. It supports daily, weekly, task-based, and monthly employees, along with full-time and part-time workers. Modules cover employee records, attendance, holidays and leave, payslips, performance, assets, documents, expenses, work, grievances, recruitment, and loans. Attendance can connect to biometric devices, RFID cards, and mobile tracking, with real-time reports. An employee portal allows personal-detail updates, leave requests, payslip access, and grievance submissions. Payslips can show earnings and deductions for monthly, hourly, or project-based pay. The cloud edition is vendor-hosted, includes 256-bit SSL encryption, and provides technical support and onboarding. The self-hosted open-source edition supplies source code for customization but leaves security, permissions, and backups to the customer. The open-source edition is free and requires PHP, MySQL or MariaDB, and Apache or Nginx. Cloud plans start at $9.99 a month.
