Photini
What it is
Photini is a free graphical desktop application for editing digital photograph metadata on Linux, macOS, and Windows. It works with Exif, IPTC, and XMP data, including RAW files, and can apply changes to multiple images while adjusting dates, times, and time zones. Metadata may be written into image files or XMP sidecars, with all three metadata formats available for compatibility. Map tabs support Google, Azure, and Mapbox/OpenStreetMap services, including place search, satellite imagery, and setting photo locations. Photini can copy photos from a camera or computer directory. Direct camera import requires python-gphoto2, which is unavailable on Windows. Uploaders support Flickr, Ipernity, and Pixelfed, and region tools let you mark and label areas in photos. The project says it does not directly collect user information, though connected services may. It is released as free software under GPL-3.0-or-later.
