Origami Studio
What it is
Origami Studio is a free design tool for building and sharing interactive interface prototypes. Its canvas supports drag-and-drop layout and editing of shapes, text, images, and videos, as well as imported Sketch and Figma layers. Editable vector shapes and text layers can also be copied from Figma. In the Patch Editor, designers connect patches to layer properties to add interaction, animation, and behavior; artboards and groups can be configured for adaptive layouts. The app can capture prototype video, trim it, and export it, and its Viewer supports viewing, interacting with, and recording prototypes. Patches can access device features such as the photo library, audio metering, haptics, GPS data, and motion sensors. Origami Live is a companion for iPhone and iPad that connects to Origami Studio for Mac, opens Studio files sent by email or AirDrop, and supports nearby prototype sharing for critique and review. The listed plan is free. Meta is identified as the creator and copyright holder. The listed platforms are Android, iOS, and macOS.
