OpenJar Launcher
What it is
OpenJar Launcher is a Mac-first Minecraft launcher and modding toolkit for managing instances, modpacks, mods, configurations, and launches. Each setup stays in its own on-disk folder, keeping its mods, configs, worlds, launch settings, and metadata separate. Users can browse and install content from Modrinth, CurseForge, and GitHub, or import Modrinth .mrpack and CurseForge ZIP archives, Vanilla Minecraft, and Prism Launcher instances. Lockfile tracking supports version pinning, compatible update checks, and rollback snapshots before Update All. Creator Studio builds layered modpacks and previews proposed changes before applying them. Run reports and Fix My Instance surface likely causes and reversible recovery actions. Friend Link is designed for small groups, but its first version has no hosted cloud relay or world-save replication. Instances, worlds, configs, and saves are not uploaded by default. The launcher is free for personal and non-commercial use; commercial use requires written permission.
