OpenHomeKaraoke
What it is
OpenHomeKaraoke is free, open-source karaoke software for home use, built around YouTube and a shared local song queue. Users can search and download songs from YouTube, Youku, Bilibili, and other video sites, then play MP3 or CDG files, including ZIP bundles. A DNN vocal splitter can provide instrumental, vocal, or combined playback; PyTorch is required and GPU support is preferred. Voice song search uses OpenAI’s multilingual Whisper model. People on the same network can use a phone or computer browser to search the local library and queue tracks. Playback includes pause, skip, restart, seeking, volume, pitch, tempo, and audio or subtitle delay controls. Displays can reach a TV through HDMI, screen sharing, or an HTTP stream in a TV browser. It runs on Linux, Windows, Raspberry Pi, and macOS, with web and self-hosted access. Setup requires Python dependencies, VLC, and ffmpeg.
