What it is
Omnipeek is LiveAction’s Windows network protocol analyzer for examining packet data in depth. It visualizes traffic to help investigate network and application performance problems, as well as security incidents. With Omnipeek’s advanced hardware, real-time analysis covers 1, 10, 40, and 100 Gigabit traffic, 802.11 networks, and voice and video over IP. Built-in analysis recognizes hundreds of common network problems and can alert on expert findings or configured policy violations. Voice and video tools provide summary statistics, call playback, and signaling and media analysis. LiveWire appliances and virtual software extend monitoring to remote sites, branches, WAN links, and data centers. A USB WiFi adapter captures wireless packets across multiple channels. Omnipeek also lists Snort and Suricata event imports, LiveCapture connections, third-party authentication, ISO8583 support, and additional VoIP protocols. It offers synthetic checks, traffic monitoring, topology maps, decryption, remote capture, flow analysis, hybrid deployment, and email alerts.
