Okteto
What it is
Okteto provides isolated, production-like environments on a team’s infrastructure for developers and AI agents building, running, and testing changes against real services and data. Environments run on Kubernetes and are configured with an Okteto Manifest covering build, deploy, development, and test workflows. Developers can deploy applications in the cloud and see local code changes there. For pull requests, Okteto can create unique, shareable environments for code review, automated end-to-end testing, and stakeholder feedback. It works with Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, Copilot, and other agents able to run a command. Preview workflows can connect with GitHub, GitLab, and CircleCI. External Resources can connect applications, databases, message brokers, serverless functions, security infrastructure, and reporting dashboards to Kubernetes environments. Self-hosted deployment is listed for Open Source, Scale, and Enterprise; Enterprise also lists Bring Your Own Cloud. The CLI supports macOS, Linux, and Windows. Starter is free for five seats, while Scale and Enterprise pricing is on request. The desktop-oriented dashboard does not support mobile browsers.
