Nutritionix Track

What it is

Nutritionix Track is a food and fitness tracking app for logging intake and working toward health goals. It records nutrient totals, exercise, weight and weight progress, calorie and macro goals, and water intake. Food entry options include predictive search, natural-language descriptions, and barcode scanning; searches can cover restaurant and grocery items, common foods, and food history. Users can create custom recipes by naming them, adding ingredients, choosing servings, and entering directions.

Track is available on Android, iOS, and the web. The free Track plan is free and includes food logging, nutrient totals, exercise, weight progress, calorie and macro goals, and water intake. Users can speak food and exercise entries through Freeform mode, and an Alexa skill can add foods to a log. Track can send nutrition, exercise calorie, and weight data to Apple Health and import exercise calorie and weight data from HealthKit. It can also push nutrition data to a connected Fitbit account. Coaches can view clients’ food logs in real time through the Coach Portal, but sharing a log requires Track Pro, available only as a mobile app subscription.
