Modelio
What it is
Modelio is a modeling environment for enterprise architecture, process modeling, software development, and systems engineering. It supports UML, BPMN, ArchiMate, SysML, and TOGAF, with consistency checking and connections between BPMN and other standards such as UML. The desktop application runs on Windows and Linux, while SaaS plans provide shared or dedicated hosted repositories. Modelio 5.4.1 adds ArchiMate 3.2 support, diagram thumbnails, and traceability in diagrams. Models can be imported and exported in XMI, and diagrams can be exported to HTML. Extensibility includes a Java API, Jython macros, extension modules, and Eclipse integration. The free Modelio Open Source plan is an open source modeling environment, although downloadable extensions may require separate licenses. SaaS Standard supports up to three users on a shared enterprise repository and server. SaaS Premium uses a dedicated Softeam server, daily backups, and premium support terms. The maker, Softeam, describes Modelio for developers, analysts, and software and systems architects. Technical support is available to solution customers by email or phone.
