Macrorit Disk Scanner
What it is
Macrorit Disk Scanner checks storage devices for bad sectors through a surface scan. You can scan an entire disk, a partition, free space, or a selected area of a disk or partition. The display marks healthy sectors green and errors red, and results can be saved to a chosen location as a readable log. The Free Edition scans a single disk on Windows. Pro + Edition can scan multiple disks at once and produce a report when the scans finish; Unlimited Edition also supports Windows Server and licenses across an unlimited number of computers within one company. Supported devices include HDDs, SSDs, hardware RAID, USB and external drives, flash drives, and memory cards. A portable edition can run from a USB drive to scan offline disks. Listed Windows requirements include an x86-compatible 500 MHz CPU, 512 MB RAM, and 100 MB of disk space. The Free Edition costs nothing. Pro + Edition costs $18.95, paid once for one computer, and Unlimited Edition costs $99.95, paid once for an unlimited company license.
