Lucide
What it is
Lucide is a free, open-source icon library with more than 1,600 vector SVG files for digital and non-digital projects. Its shared design rules aim to keep icons recognizable, consistent, and readable at different sizes. Color, size, and stroke width can be customized, and SVG compression and tree-shaking let projects include only the icons they use. Official packages cover web, React, React Native, Vue, Svelte, Preact, Solid, Angular, Astro, and static usage. The static package includes individual SVG files, sprites, icon fonts, and JavaScript exports of SVG strings. Lucide also provides a Figma plugin. Its React package offers standalone components that render optimized inline SVGs, with TypeScript support and customizable properties. The ISC License permits use, copying, modification, and distribution subject to notice requirements, while disclaiming warranties and liability. Icons are hidden from screen readers by default, so meaningful or interactive icons need labels. The Svelte package is for Svelte 5; Svelte 4 users are directed to lucide-svelte.
