Hyperlane
What it is
Hyperlane is a free desktop IDE built on the VS Code engine for running coding agents in parallel. Each agent works in its own Git worktree, and the product describes running four agents on four tasks at once. It supports a catalog of agents, including Claude Code, OpenCode, Cursor, Codex, Gemini CLI and GitHub Copilot, as well as CLI-based agents and those that speak ACP. The editor includes language server support, extensions, terminals, source control, multi-cursor editing, snippets and refactoring. Agent branches can be opened as pull requests beside their checks, descriptions, diffs and threads. Other tools include project search, a three-way merge conflict editor, an HTTP client, design mode, Prettier formatting and Vitest support. VS Code settings, keybindings, themes and extensions carry over. Hyperlane says it does not proxy, store or transmit API keys; agents handle their own credentials. Its privacy policy says files are processed locally and content sent to third-party AI services goes directly to the chosen provider. Telemetry may include usage, device, operating-system, error and crash data, designed to exclude code and file contents. Downloads are available for macOS, Windows and Linux.
