Cursor
What it is
Cursor describes itself as a coding agent for building software, with a desktop app for macOS, Windows, and Linux. Users can choose models from OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, SpaceXAI, and Cursor, and launch groups of agents to work on tasks in parallel for hours or days. Cursor also runs in the terminal, collaborates in Slack, and reviews pull requests in GitHub. Cloud Agents integrate with Slack, GitHub, GitHub Enterprise Server, GitLab, and Linear. The free Hobby plan includes limited Agent requests and access to Composer. Pro costs $20 a month; Teams costs $40 a month per user. Every plan includes model usage, and additional on-demand usage continues after the included amount is consumed, billed in arrears. Cursor says Privacy Mode prevents training on customer data and uses technical and contractual protections with model providers. Enterprise includes repository, model, and MCP controls, plus audit logs and service accounts; pricing is custom and not listed as a fixed amount. Enterprise also includes priority support and account management.
