Hollow Knight MultiWorld
What it is
Hollow Knight MultiWorld is a free, open-source set of add-ons for Hollow Knight Randomizer 4.0. MultiWorld places randomized items across linked game files for cooperative play, while the separate ItemSync add-on shares randomized pickups among players in a room. Players can use local randomizer mods and open their own randomizer settings. They can choose nicknames that appear when their items are collected in another world, and use room codes when connecting and readying up. A random identifier gives each generated randomization its own session, allowing multiple games on one server. Players can save, reload, reconnect, and rejoin to recover MultiWorld data after a crash before their first save. Mods are available through Scarab, which installs dependencies automatically. Documentation covers a public server and local hosting with MultiWorldServer.exe; WAN hosting requires forwarding port 38281. Windows and self-hosting are supported under the LGPL-2.1 license.
