Graphite

What it is

Graphite is an AI code review platform for teams working with GitHub repositories. Its CLI helps developers create, visualize, publish, update and sync stacked pull requests. The PR inbox arranges review requests and other pull requests into customizable sections, with search across synced repositories. Graphite Chat can summarize pull requests, answer code questions, suggest or apply edits, search codebase context and help diagnose CI failures. Its stack-aware merge queue automates merges and offers CI optimizations to skip redundant tests. Listed integrations include GitHub, Slack and Linear, plus a VS Code extension; documentation also describes a Mac menu bar app. GitHub is its only integrated Git provider, and new signups authenticate by installing its GitHub App. The free inbox supports up to three default repositories, compared with up to 30 on Team and Enterprise. Graphite says it has no self-hosted deployment. The free Hobby plan is available; Starter costs $20 a month per user, billed annually, and Team costs $40 a month per user, billed annually. A 30-day trial is listed.

The verdict

Graphite combines pull request management with AI review features and merge automation for GitHub-based teams. Its free inbox limit, GitHub-only support and annual per-user pricing are key plan considerations.

Who it suits

Graphite may suit development teams using GitHub that want pull request organization, AI review assistance or a merge queue. Teams using another Git provider or requiring self-hosting should note those limitations.
