GO Feature Flag
What it is
GO Feature Flag is an open-source feature flag management system built on OpenFeature and designed to run on infrastructure a team controls. A relay proxy can be started locally with Docker and a flag configuration file. Teams can target users and segments, use percentage and progressive rollouts, schedule changes, and run A/B tests. Client and server SDKs cover 16 languages and frameworks, including JavaScript, React, Swift, Kotlin, Go, Java, Python, .NET, Ruby, and Rust. Built-in retrievers load configuration from sources such as HTTP(S), local files, Kubernetes ConfigMaps, cloud storage, Git providers, MongoDB, Redis, and PostgreSQL. Exporters can send evaluation data to Kafka, AWS S3, Google Cloud BigQuery, OpenTelemetry, webhooks, and application logs. Teams can receive configuration-change notices through Slack, Discord, Microsoft Teams, webhooks, or logs. Go interfaces support custom retrievers, exporters, and notifiers. The project is MIT-licensed and the site says commercial use is permitted. The maker says evaluation and usage data stay in the customer’s environment. Its free Opensource plan includes all features and unlimited flags, with community support.
