Gittyup
What it is
Gittyup is a free, open-source graphical Git client for Linux, macOS, and Windows, designed to help users understand and manage source-code history. The volunteer-developed project continues the GitAhead client. Its history view shows one branch at a time, with tabs for switching repositories. In the diff view, users can stage or unstage individual lines and inspect blame; the blame view provides a timeline identifying who changed each line. Commit tools include amending commits, message templates, starring commits, and tag selection. Gittyup supports resolving rebase conflicts and continuing afterward, plus Git LFS and submodules. It does not support interactive rebase. The project lists Gitea support and SSH among its dependencies. It is licensed under MIT, allowing use, modification, and distribution, and is provided without warranty. Source builds require Qt 6.4 or later and a C++11 compiler; CMake 3.19 or later is recommended. Help is offered through Stack Overflow, GitHub issues, and Matrix.
