What it is
Equifax CreditWatch combines credit monitoring with identity theft protection tools from Equifax. Members receive daily alerts about significant credit-report changes and monthly Equifax Credit Score updates; Equifax says checking the score does not harm it. WebDetect watches suspected fraud websites on the dark web around the clock and alerts members if it finds personal or financial information. Monitoring can cover up to six email addresses, six telephone numbers, six bank accounts and 12 credit or debit cards, plus a driver’s licence and national insurance number. SocialScan searches social media for publicly available personal information that could compromise identity. After signup and ID verification, members can access a full Equifax Credit Report online and view, download or print historical reports as PDFs. The plan includes an Open Banking Finance Monitor and customer-care support. CreditWatch costs £7.95 per month after the first 30 days free, with cancellation at any time. It works on Android, iOS and the web.
